Investing Lifestreams with Authority and Power
Life Defined
I am the embodiment of the “invocative power,” by which universal life and light begin an active expression of usefulness.
Life is the servant of flame, as light is the radiation of life. Without any intelligent director, life would remain forever unformed and quiescent.
Within life, the Godhead has placed every power, attribute, capacity, and virtue which is His.
Man’s Duty
Man must learn of life’s power and presence and how to draw forth its fullness. He must become vested with the power of creation.
Love of life and a desire to understand its nature precede my service to the evolving individual.
I then INVEST the individual with the knowledge of life’s potentialities and their capacity to unfold and draw forth from life the fullness that God has incorporated into this ever-present, intelligent, vital substance.
My activity is to draw forth, mold, and externalize this potential perfection through my pupils. To invest an individual with authority is to confer upon his life flame powers not previously present.
My Capital
I am the root of investment and a powerful force in the financial world when understood. People design a project and invest their substance, so the project may live and have the authority to govern their fortunes.
I INVEST lifestreams in causes, working with the Lords of Karma, to further world progress. These lifestreams represent my capital, and the causes benefit by their presence.
Director of Cosmic Ventures
All cosmic ventures are placed before me by their sponsors and the Great White Brotherhood. Lifestreams capable of assisting in carrying these missions through the veil of embodiment must come before me. If their light, karma, and capacities are judged proper for the particular service, they are INVESTED—together with their sponsor—with certain powers and dedicated to a cause.
This is all done at inner levels, and “circumstances” draw people together in the world of form when it is proper for the investment to begin working for some facet of universal good.
Development of Causes Created by the Godhead
Origin of Causes
Many causes are set up by the Godhead, and many causes are born through the initiative of His children.
A cause to which a lifestream may choose to dedicate his life is not necessarily created by the individual himself. But it can be assumed, and an individual interested in such service may take the responsibility of carrying such a cause to mankind, that its ultimate beneficial effect may sooner be the heritage of the people.
The Godhead may create causes. Intelligent beings, pondering ways to serve God’s plan, may evolve causes and bring them into outer manifestation.
The Cause of Freedom
The cause of freedom was born in God’s heart when the first flame was created, for God desired all His creation FREE.
When a cosmic desire of God’s heart pulsates in the higher heavens, waiting to be claimed, ensouled, and lowered by one of His children, it is so finely attuned and vibrates so quickly that it is neither visible nor tangible even to tremendously evolved beings—EXCEPT where their own interests and leanings through the centuries have created in them a sympathetic vibration.
Thus, a being would have had to love freedom and serve freedom for centuries before the cosmic pulsation would be even discernible in the blazing cosmic light, which is the desire world of the Great Central Sun.
Saint Germain’s Claim to the Cause of Freedom
Such a being is Saint Germain! He finally achieved a personal evolution sufficient to PERCEIVE God’s desire to bring freedom to His creation.
The ability to perceive the presence of any blessing is one of God’s gifts and is developed by the humble, listening heart.
When Saint Germain pierced through God’s aura and entered the Secret Place of the Most High, he saw—unclaimed—the cause God had set up before the world was, and which one day must, by the nature of its being, have an effect manifested as unconditional freedom for every part and particle of His creation.
It was Love which had answered before the call. It was God providing before the need.
His heart thrilled at sharing the Father’s secret desire. He loved that cause and prayed and prepared, that one day he might be worthy to ensoul that cause with his own flame and carry it down to the world of men, that its effect might externalize on the screen of maya.
Time of Fulfillment
The Great Central Sun itself would call the being prepared to carry his particular cause to fulfillment—either when the cosmic hour for its birth was come, or when some child of heaven had anticipated that hour and become the fit vessel for its outer manifestation before the hour.
When any being becomes ready to be invested with a cosmic cause, the law of magnetic attraction begins to pull on the heart of God, and the cause that has lain therein starts on its downward course to join in the call from below. Thus does the Godhead become aware of the readiness of the race for a greater blessing.
Saint Germain’s Preparation
The Father called the son—Saint Germain—in the ripe hour, and Saint Germain entered in a cosmic initiation, the great flaming desire of freedom, and ensouled it with his flame, taking full responsibility for carrying it to the Earth and letting its effect radiate through all life and all created beings.
Saint Germain’s students are invested with the knowledge and power of the sacred fire by me. Those who accepted them, with their sponsor, were given audience before me and each invested with the knowledge and power of the sacred fire and the vision of the cause in its fullness.
Then, as a corporate body, they—together with their Master—were cosmically invested, their bodies, minds, natures, heritage, in the cause of freedom. None can leave that cause until its effect is manifest. All are my investment in the name and by the desire of the God of Love.
🌟 Development of Causes Evolved Through Individual Initiative
Five Steps
1st — An advanced being (Initiate) desires to bring to the human race the art he has learned to love in the sphere of light. Working in this sphere under the Chohan of Art, he feels the race would benefit in soul growth by seeing, absorbing, and creating this perfect art (which up to this point may never have been expressed on Earth before).
2nd — The Lords of Karma hear his plan, weigh his worth and capacities, and, looking at the world plan, acquiesce to his desire to embody and bring his gift to humanity.
3rd — Then he must interest contemporary spirits in HIS CAUSE. They must not only love him but be found capable of offering beneficial talents and capacities, according to their soul growth and nature. They, too, must be passed by the Lords of Karma.
4th — If this being is fortunate enough to secure fellow beings willing to assist him, then the sponsor and his group come before me (Vesta), and they are individually and collectively INVESTED in the name of God in this movement.
I alone take the responsibility for investing souls, life, time, energy, and intelligence in a cause. The resultant effect—the failures and successes—becomes my personal obligation to life. Thus the cause is carefully studied: its possible beneficial result on the race, the nature and capacities of the sponsor and volunteers, before such investment takes place.
All those invested are then, in turn, vested with the power and authority of the sacred fire to draw out of life everything their intelligence prompts them to call forth to perfect, protect, beautify, and expand the cause they serve. They carry more power than the masses, for they have been cosmically ordained.
5th — During the entire course of embodiment, they work consciously or unconsciously for the cause they accepted at inner levels, and I, naturally, am vitally interested in their progress. In times of crisis, I am—because of my personal responsibility—privileged to enter into the cause with my power and light.
The Vestal Virgins
The activity of the Vestal Virgins has been little understood. They were lifestreams who volunteered at certain periods of Earth’s growth to take embodiment and, through devotion to the sacred fire, vitalized definite causes dedicated to furthering the evolution of the race.
This concentrated presence of the sacred fire, drawn earthward and sustained by the guarding lifestreams of the Virgins, was the sustaining power of those movements—civic, religious, artistic, etc.
The Vestal Virgins were VESTED with power and INVESTED in a world cause or a local cause, through my lifestream.

🌟 The Deeper Mystery
Vesta speaks to us as the Flame of Investment, reminding us that life itself is God’s substance—pure, intelligent, and waiting to be directed. Without a guiding intelligence, life would remain quiescent, unformed. It is her office to take this living fire and place it within prepared lifestreams, granting them not only power but responsibility. This is what she calls investment: the conferring of sacred fire and authority upon a soul so that a divine cause may find expression on Earth.
She explains that causes may arise in two ways. Some are born in the very heart of God, like the cause of Freedom, which existed from the beginning when the first flame was created. Others are conceived through the initiative of God’s children—souls who ponder ways to bless the race and bring forth art, music, healing, or new channels of service. Yet in both cases, the cause remains as a pulsation of divine desire until a soul, through long preparation and love, is able to perceive it, claim it, and embody it.
So it was with Saint Germain. Having served Freedom across centuries, he became attuned to that hidden heartbeat within the Central Sun. At last he discerned the unclaimed cause of Freedom, and with joy and devotion he offered himself to carry it into the world of men. At that moment, the great triad of cause, core, and effect began to unfold: the cause existed in God’s heart, the core was anchored when Saint Germain was invested with sacred fire by Vesta, and the effect would one day be manifest as liberty for all peoples and nations. In this way, divine ideas follow a law, moving from inner conception to sustaining nucleus to outer manifestation.
Investment, then, is a cosmic ordination, weighed carefully by the Lords of Karma and the Great White Brotherhood. Souls are examined, sponsors and companions are chosen, and when the time is ripe, Vesta confers the fire that makes the cause living, powerful, and irresistible. Once invested, a lifestream becomes the core of a cause: the living chalice through which God’s seed-desire continues to pulse until its effect is realized. No one invested can truly walk away, for the cause is woven into their flame, and the God of Love counts on them until fulfillment.
Vesta recalls that even in history, the Vestal Virgins of old embodied this principle. These ritual maidens were dedicated lifestreams who carried the sacred fire for world causes—civic, artistic, or religious. Their devotion sustained civilizations, arts, and religions at critical times. They too were invested as the core of a cause, ensuring that the sacred fire remained on Earth until its effect was secured.
Thus Vesta shows us that our lives are more than personal stories. They are potential seed capital for God’s dream. To be invested is to be chosen as the core of a divine cause, empowered and entrusted to bear it until the effect shines forth as blessing for the whole race. In this way, we understand that every movement of God’s plan follows the same law: cause, core, and effect. The cause is born in the heart of the Eternal, the core is anchored in the flame of a willing soul, and the effect is the manifestation of divine good in the world.
✨ The Cause, Core, and Effect
In the decrees and invocations of the Ascended Masters, one phrase appears again and again: “Dissolve and consume cause, core, and effect.” This is the key to understanding how energy flows and how it must be redeemed. Every condition, whether it is harmonious or discordant, is born out of this triadic chain.
🌱 Cause — The Originating Impulse
The cause is the first seed. It is the original impulse, the initiating moment when energy was qualified—either with harmony or with discord. In the case of limitation, fear, anger, disease, or imbalance, the cause is often buried deep within the etheric body, the memory body that records all experience across lifetimes.
- A hurtful word spoken long ago, an act of violence, or even an inward thought of criticism can generate such a cause.
- This seed remains alive, though hidden, until it is transmuted.
- If not balanced, it calls out through vibration, attracting to itself energies of a like kind.
Thus, causes can lie dormant for years, even centuries, waiting for the right moment—or the wrong vibration—to bring them forward again.
🔥 Core — The Sustaining Nucleus
The core is the sustaining nucleus. It is like the root system that keeps the seed alive and nourishes its continuity. While the cause is the spark, the core is the magnetic center that draws new energy to keep the spark burning.
- Every time we rehearse an old wound, entertain resentment, or revisit a painful memory, we are unconsciously feeding this core.
- The core acts almost like a hidden magnet inside the subtle bodies.
- Even when we forget the original event, the core continues to pulsate, ensuring that the cause has the fuel to survive across time.
It is for this reason that healing on the surface is never enough. Unless the core is consumed, the pattern will reassert itself.
🌍 Effect — The Manifestation in Form
The effect is the visible outpicturing of the cause and core. It appears in the outer world as circumstance, condition, or bodily state.
- Illness may be the effect of an ancient cause of fear or abuse.
- Poverty may be the effect of misuses of supply in other lives.
- Discord in relationships may be the effect of vows, betrayals, or judgments carried forward through the memory body.
The effect is what we see, but it is not the beginning. It is the final link in a chain of energy that began long before.
🔮 Why We Call for All Three
When we invoke the violet flame and command: “Dissolve and consume cause, core, and effect,” we are asking for a total cleansing of the entire chain of misqualified energy.
- If only the effect is consumed, the core remains, and the condition will soon return.
- If only the cause is touched, the core may regenerate it.
- If only the core is weakened, the seed and outer circumstance may continue to produce suffering.
But when cause, core, and effect are transmuted together, the entire chain is dissolved. Nothing remains to reproduce itself. The record is purified, the memory is healed, and the soul is freed.
🌸 The Work of the Violet Flame
The violet flame, as taught by Saint Germain and the Masters, is the sacred fire of mercy, forgiveness, and freedom. Its action is not destructive but transmutative.
- It lifts the vibration of energy from dense to luminous, from misqualified to pure.
- It does not erase the record of our experiences, but it erases the stain of discord attached to them.
- It restores energy to its original pristine state, ready to be used again for love, beauty, peace, and creativity.
This is why students of the Light are urged to call daily for the violet flame to blaze through their world, through their past records, and through the collective karmic patterns of humanity.
💎 The Deeper Promise
To work with cause, core, and effect is to acknowledge the totality of God’s law of sowing and reaping. Every action has a seed, a sustainer, and a manifestation. By applying the violet flame, we do not deny this law—we fulfill it. We return misqualified energy back to its source, so that it no longer binds the soul.
This is liberation. This is why Saint Germain calls the violet flame the “cosmic eraser” and the “universal solvent of karma.” It dissolves not only the surface problem but the seed and root of it, so the effect cannot return.
🌟 In this way, the call to dissolve “cause, core, and effect” is cosmic science. It is the guarantee that our prayers touch every layer of energy, freeing both the soul and the world.
✨ Dissolving Cause, Core, and Effect
Attunement
Find a quiet space where you will not be disturbed. Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Breathe gently and evenly three times, releasing all tension with the out-breath.
Place your hand over your heart and feel the steady flame of your own divine Presence glowing there.
Silently affirm:
“I AM the flame of God within my heart, pure, eternal, and victorious.”
Rest in that warmth for a moment, until you feel a quiet joy begin to rise.
Awareness of the Chain
Bring to mind a pattern, burden, or condition that no longer serves your highest good. It may be:
- a feeling of fear,
- a memory of hurt,
- a limiting habit,
- or even a heavy condition in the world.
See it in three movements:
- First, as the cause — a seed or spark of misqualified energy, perhaps planted long ago.
- Second, as the core — the hidden nucleus that has kept it alive through repetition or memory.
- Third, as the effect — the outward circumstance or weight it has placed upon your life or the lives of others.
Do not fear it. Simply witness it in the gentle light of your Presence.
Violet Flame Invocation
Now call gently but firmly to the sacred violet fire:
“In the name of my Mighty I AM Presence,
and by the authority of Saint Germain,
I call forth the Violet Consuming Flame!
Blaze through this pattern of limitation—
cause, core, and effect.
Transmute it now into light,
and replace it with God’s pure freedom and love.”
As you speak, envision the violet flame rising like a living fire around you—soft, brilliant, dancing with mercy and forgiveness.
Decree of Total Transmutation
When you are ready, stand or sit with dignity, and speak aloud this classic decree, either in whole or in part. Repeat it with rhythm, love, and conviction:
“Through the power of God pulsating in every human heart,
I invoke the full momentum of the Violet Transmuting Flame of Forgiveness.
Sacred Flame, come forth from the very heart of God,
BLAZE in, through, and around the electrons of previous life energy
I have ever released which was less than God’s perfection.
Transmute now cause, core, effect, record, and memory
of every thought, word, action, or feeling I have ever expressed
which prevents me from knowing and accepting my TRUE GOD REALITY.
So be it. I AM.”
Pause in silence after repeating this decree three or more times, until you feel the power of its momentum.
Visualization of Transmutation
- See the cause of the burden dissolve like a seed consumed in violet fire.
- Watch the core crumble — its sustaining nucleus broken apart, no longer able to hold form.
- Behold the effect — the outward circumstance — fade like smoke in sunlight, leaving only clear, radiant space.
In its place, see waves of violet light filling you, replacing all that was lost with peace, forgiveness, and joy.
Sealing in Love
Place both hands over your heart. Whisper tenderly:
“I AM free, I AM whole,
cause, core, effect, record, and memory transmuted in God’s flame.
Beloved violet fire, seal me now in victory,
and let this blessing extend to all life.”
Rest for a few moments in silence, simply feeling the warmth of freedom in your body, mind, and soul.
